To Kill a Mockingbird is the story of a black man on trial for the rape of a white girl and the effect of this on a young girl and her family. During the trial it is discovered that the father of the girl is left handed and therfore could have left the bruises on the right side of the girls face. Evidence is also brought to light that the accused man was not physically able to commit the crime.
