Who is Hlynn from The Wolf and the Dove and what is their importance?

Hlynn is a young maid, who is at Darkenwald when it is attacked and is forced to serve ale to the conquerors before two of them fight over her with the winner taking her upstairs. Aislinn later rescues Hlynn from Ragnor, keeping the young woman with her during Ragnor's stays at Darkenwald. Hlynn also accompanies Aislinn to London for William's coronation.
