Jane Seymour was a shy young woman, and the daughter of a courtier in King Henry's court. Henry met Jane in the home of his trusted courtier, and he immediately become infatuated with her. Within a week of Anne Boleyn's execution, Henry would marry Jane. She quickly became pregnant but was never crowned. Jane's labor was long and difficult, leaving Jane exhausted, and within days of giving birth to Edward, she contracted a fever associated with childbirth. Jane died shortly after. Jane was remembered by Henry as his most beloved wife, and he was buried with her in St. George's Chapel, Windsor.
