How is the theme of courage illustrated in Chapter 20?

The theme of courage is highlighted in the scene where Conner reaches out with his foot and kicks the vial of fairy tears out of the Queen's hand. With the vial broken and the tears gone, the Wishing Spell cannot be completed.
