A wealthy heir, Mr. Toad spends his days going through various fads, from boating to gypsy traveling to motor-car driving. Mr. Toad is a dandy, given to flights of fancy, and histrionics. He is wasting away his wealth, and his good name, and is therefore the subject of an intervention by his friends, Mole, Rat, and Badger. I always thought that Toad is rather manic in his personality.
