In this chapter Kenny almost drowns in a whirlpool until Byron pulls him out. The tone in the entire chapter is one of suspense, mystery, and a foreboding (something bad is going to happen).

the tone in watsons going to brimingham is that the watsons weren't going to give up with out winning there freedom and they earned it
