The novel is written from Ginny's point of view, through her own thoughts and language. Because Ginny is relatively uneducated, the language is simple and reads as if she is speaking to the reader directly. Her sentences are structured the way she would speak, so there are many grammar and syntax errors. Even so, the sentences flow easily and should not trip readers up. The effect of this sentence structure adds a sense of authority in the character's voice.
