What is Neuron?

Neurons, sometimes also known as nerve cells, are brain cells that transmit information. They can do this in the form of either chemical or electrical impulses, which they pass to other neurons in patterns or circuits throughout the brain. As a neuroscientist, Ramachandran does much of his research at the neuronal level.
