Why is Tamakazura reduced to tears at the sight of Kaoru?

Upon seeing Kaoru, Tamakazura begins to cry because Kaoru looks so much like her late brother, Kashiwagi. Kaoru is in fact the illegitimate son of Kashiwagi. Neither Tamakazura not Kaoru are aware of this fact.
