The Stranger

In the novel The Stranger by Albert Camus, (chapter2/part2) page 81. The narrator goes on about his reflection in the mirror and how it never changes. What is this excerpt trying to explain? (:

Writing an essay in my advanced placement literature class. And I really love this excerpt from the novel. I believe it says alot, I just can't figure it out. Please help(: thanks in advance.

This is a "reflection" of Meursault's existential angst. He sees life never really changing. Situations change but the existential themes do not.
