In Chapter Two, we learn that Daisy believes people are shaped by the major events in their lives, rather than the long spans of life where nothing happens of note. As for the child Daisy is becoming as a result of her new imagination is still unclear. There is strong foreshadowing, however, that she will use this imagination later in life, but to what effect, it is not yet known.
