Who is Iain Haddon from The Spy's Wife and what is their importance?

Iain is Sam's boss at The New Technocrat. He and his wife are close friends with Molly and Sam. Like Wallace, Iain is a ruthless when it comes to getting a story, though he attempts to cover this trait by making insincere gestures of kindness to Molly. He isn't a bad guy, per se, but he isn't particularly likeable either.
