The main conflict in the book The son of Neptune is the conflict of good verses evil. The main bad guy, Gaia, wants to destroy the world to take revenge on the olympians who killed and held her children hostage. The good guys or the Demi-gods were created to hold back the forces of evil. the two sides are both looking to get ahead of their rivals.
