Not only is there a difference in the type of weapons and methods used, but there is a different perspective between white and indian. The methods used by the Native Americans were those that utilized the surrounding environment to assist them in the hunt. For example, running their prey into water to slow them down, using snares along animal trails, etc..  The white man flushed out game, then killed it.   Perspective-wise, the Native Americans hunted with a feeling of gratitude toward their intended prey. Whites saw the prey as their enemy, to be conquered.
