In Sea of Monsters, Grover buys himself some time by at first posing as a female. Polyphemus declares that he will marry Grover. Then, after he finds out that Grover is not a female, Grover buys some time by saying that Satyrs cannot be eaten without Mangoes. Polyphemus goes looking for the mangoes.
