Also known as the Diné, the Navajo are currently the second largest tribe of Native Americans in the United States. As of 2000, there were nearly 300,000 people in the United States of Navajo ancestry. The Navajo have their own governing body, the Navajo Nation. It manages their reservation in the Four Corners region of the United States.
