Barbie's dream world, the land, is the primary source of the plot. The land is very old, and although, Barbie goes there to dream..... she did not create it. Barbie and Wanda begin the story discussing the fact that Barbie does not dream. It quickly becomes apparent that this is symbolic since Martin Tenbones believes that Princess Barbara is stuck in her other world.
