Sean Bateman is one of the key characters in The Rules of Attraction. As being part of the Bateman family (see American Psycho for his brother), he has problems with intimacy and possible sociopathic tendencies. He falls for Lauren in an odd way and has a possible relationship with Paul, which is left ambigious as to whether it is real or not.
