Another theme is manifest destiny. At the heart of much of Roosevelt's life and work lies his passion for manifest destiny. According to this tenant, Roosevelt believes that America should continue to expand and claim as much land in North America as possible. He also supports annexation of other territories in Hawaii and the Philippines, to support America's interests abroad.
