What is the author's style in The Revolt of the Cockroach People by Oscar Zeta Acosta?

The Revenge of the Cockroach People is written in the first person point of view with the narrator being the author, Oscar Zeta Acosta. Acosta is the famous Buffalo Zeta Brown, the Chicano lawyer, who the book is about. The author basically tells the story of this tumultuous three year period in his life. The use of the first person makes the book more real for the reader since it seems to be Brown that is talking to them.
