Tabea is Esau's daughter. Dinah and Tabea become attached because they are close in age. Rebecca had high hopes for Tabea. She thought the girl would be the heir to Mamre, until her mother wastes her first month's blood. Rebecca is outraged and banishes Tabea from her tents.
