Richard III was the brother of Edward IV, and the uncle of the Princes in the tower. He is described as a highly respected military commander and local ruler during his brother's reign, and he certainly deserved the title of Lord High Admiral of England because of his service to King and country. After Edward's death, however, Richard became ruthless and power hungry, evermore greedy for power. His greed and desire for power eventually led him to declare his brother's children illegitimate and take the throne for himself. It is believed that he had his nephews killed in the tower. In the end, Richard III was killed at Bosworth Field, losing his throne to Henry Tudor.
