Who is The Duke of Norfolk from The Prince and the Pauper and what is their importance?

The Duke of Norfolk is the kingdom's top-ranking nobleman. Unfortunately, he has incurred the wrath of Henry VIII, and he is condemned to death by beheading. When Tom learns that Henry will become king, he orders the Duke of Norfolk released from the Tower.
