What is the theme in The Power and the Glory by Graham Greene?

Another theme in the story is faith. Faith plays a very strong role in the novel. Many of the characters have a strong belief in God, while one, the lieutenant, has a strong belief that God does not exist. Other s are struggling with their faith. Father José has a strong faith but fails to live up to it. The young boy in the novel is faced with choosing faith and ultimately does choose it.
