In John Bunyon's allegory "Pilgrim's Progress", how are the names of the jurors part of the allegory?

All of the characters in this allegory have names that indicate their nature. The jurors and witnesses were: Envy, Superstition, and Pickthank. They testify against Faithful who remains 'faithful' to the last and is executed.
