The tone of the book is conversational, mainly because Andy speaks to a B throughout much of the work. There are several definite dialogues presented that are clearly conversational, lending some relief to the reader who could get bogged down in the seemingly endless stream of random thoughts. These interjected conversations not only make the book easier to read but also allow more insight into Andy's thoughts. Most of the book, however, is filled with Andy's philosophy on different topics presented in a no-nonsense, sometimes confrontational tone of voice.
