Kino's intentions in getting money by selling the pearl is different compared to the other people (doctor, priest, pearl buyers, ect ) as he wants to use it for the benefit of his family, he wants to properly marry Juana in a church and send Coyotito to school.

The doctor wants the pearl /money to return to his luxurious life in Paris, the priest is just as prejudiced, insincere and greedy, he used religion to manipulate others, wanting the pearl to 'fix' the church. the pearl buyers.... you can guess.
