Emily Gold from The Pact is a young teenager who lives next door to her best friend, and boyfriend, Christopher Harte. They are inseperable as children, and when they become teens, that friendship becomes more. However, Emily isn't happy. She has been keeping a secret from everyone. When she was 9 years old she was sexually assaulted in a public restroom. As a result, she has a fear of sex that cripples her. It is this fear, and the downward spiral from it, that causes her to want to end her life.
