Who is Anne Boleyn from The Other Boleyn Girl and what is their importance?

Anne Boleyn was the second wife of King Henry VIII, and the mother of his daughter, Elizabeth. She is described as beautiful, witty, athletic, charming, and ambitious. Unfortunately, none of the traits were able to keep the attention of her husband after she failed to give him a son. In the end, Anne was executed for treason and quickly replaced by Henry's third wife, Jane Seymour.
