what is the main plot

Ivan the One and Only is a carefree philosopher, artist and gorilla. As the star attraction of the Exit 8 Big Top Mall and Video Arcade, Ivan spends his days creating art and chatting with his best friends, Stella the elephant and Bob the dog. Life is a little boring, but the call of the wild seems far away. Then Ruby arrives, and Ivan is forced to face the brutality of his past and cruelty of his captivity.
