What is The Dream Train Station?

Ji Lin and Ren meet Yi at the train station in their dreams, both eventually coming to understand that the train takes the deceased from the land of the living to the land of the dead. The station itself symbolizes the state of being in between: a liminal land of blurred boundaries and potential. Both Ren and Ji Lin linger here, making decisions that could change the course of fate. As a train station is neither of a place nor in a place, so too is the moment of choice resistant to definition, existing always as a "between" moment.
