The new dress, made of yellow silk, and crafted specifically for Mabel, symbolizes everything that Mabel has ever done in her life. On the surface, it looks absolutely stunning, just as she seems to have the perfect life, from an outsider's point of view. Below the surface, though, there is conflict; something is just not quite right, just
as something is just not quite right in Mabel's own mind.
