The Negro Speaks of Rivers

is there a significance to the order in which the rivers appear in the poem the negro speaks of rivers?? :)

I believe they are in the order of the things that he is talking about happened.
Negro is not a derogatory term. It was the accepted term for referring to people of African descent at the turn of the 20th century. As such, it does not need astericks (*). The term Negro and n*gger are two very different words with different usages and histories.
