Who is the antagonist in The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant?

The antagonist in the Necklace is open to interpretation. There isn't a person standing in the way of Mathilde. I suppose you might consider Mathilde's delusions of needing to be seen rich as her own antagonist. Is it her immaturity doing this? Is there some flaw in her personality?
