What is New Scotland?

New Scotland, in the New Caledonia system, is also the Imperial Capital for the Trans-Coal Sack sector. This status is due to the inhabitants' loyalty through the Secession Wars. Like the colonists on New Ireland, New Scotland citizens speak a form of Gaelic and use a form of English that is heavily accented with their dialect. New Scotland was originally terraformed as Jasper Murcheson wasn't content with the climate on New Ireland. As a relative of an Emperor, he had the influence to get both planets adapted for habitation. New Scotland is a major spaceship refit base during the current story occurring during the Third Empire.
