What is an example of foreshadowing in the novel, The Morning of the Gods?

One example of foreshadowing can be found the way Tiggie and Theo discuss their beliefs regarding life and death in conjunction with the myth of Philemon and Baucis... in the end they die in the same manner of death as those mythological heroes.
