At the home of Flora van Huysen a cab arrives with Cornelius and Barnaby (who is dressed like a woman). The driver makes them go into the house thinking that they are the couple that Horace had paid him to delay. Flora thinks that they are Ambrose and Ermengarde and offers them food, telling them to be at home. But then the real Ambrose and Ermengarde arrive (and Flora doesn't belive it). Dolly, Mrs. Molloy and Minnie, and Horace all arrive. The scene roars to its conclusion as everyone begins to figure out who the true identities and relationships are. Dolly is able to be successful after all, bringing everyone to their happily ever after.
