Though the primary setting of this work in the Washington, D.C. area, obviously because so many of the major characters reside and work there, many important events and activities occur throughout the world. Delaroche lives in France, travels to Amsterdam to enlist Astrid Vogel, and then, together, they travel to France, England, Cairo, Canada and the U.S., in their pursuit of assassination targets.
