How well does this book serve as a continuation of the seminal Fifth Business?

Carrying along with David Staunton, the book reflects the same personal exploration that we got from Fifth Business. It is pretty hard to follow from a classic like Fifth Business. I found some irregularities like David not being affected by his traumatic childhood or not really saying much about his famous father who was snuffed out in Fifth Business. Still the book has the same narrative style that readers loved in Fifth Business.
