With Bilbo's disappearance, what does Frodo find out about his Uncle and his own circumstances?

In The Lord of the Rings, Bilbo discovers that he has inherited BagsEnd and everything in it. Gandalf tells him that he has also inherited something very special...a ring. He doesn't tell him anything about it, but that it is very precious and that he should never show it to anyone, but keep it hidden.
