Curley begins losing ground due to a charley horse. After his third warning, Curley says that it's loosening and seems to be okay. Within minutes, Curley is holding his leg and screaming. The soldiers take the safeties off their guns and the boys all move away from Curley. As he screams about it not being fair, he gets his "ticket" by being shot by four guns.
