How does Sherman Alexie use imagery in The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven?

Alexie uses the imagery of the Spokane Washington Indian reserve that he remembers as a child. There is poverty but there is also colour. We see this colour through character representation and detail to setting that Alexie paints in each story.
