The "lost Traveller" is a man from Lagos whose car broke down in the bush. Frightened by the animals he encounters, he waders around getting more and more drunk; finally, he accidentally stumbles across Sidi bathing in a river. When he tries to take her picture, she raises the alarm and the "lost Traveller" is brought to the village to be judged by Baroka.
