White Eagle is the six-year-old Dakota Indian boy, who is to be leader of his tribe. When he is kidnapped by a rival tribe, he is severely beaten by his captors and his mother fears that he will die. Thankfully, he is nursed back to health by a white woman named Jessica. While living with Jessica and her daughter, White Eagle and Christina forge a unique bond. It is White Eagle who prompts Christina to call Black Wolf "papa" during the meeting held to determine whether she would be raised in his home.
