Father Pirrone lives with the Prince and his family, for whom, he serves as priest and confessor. Pirrone is a traditional priest with conservative values. As a result, he and the Prince often disagree with the changes the Prince so avidly embraces. Pirrone dies of old age over the course of the novel.
