The Last Thing I Remember by Andrew Klavan is a novel written entirely in the first person from the perspective of the main character, Charlie West. The perspective is reliable and is proven in chapter after chapter as Charlie struggles first to recall how he came to find himself secured to a chair and then over and over again after he escapes.

The novel is written in conversational English, and is easy to follow. The chapters alternate, including flashbacks of Charlie's life before his memory loss. In a surprise twist, Charlie learns that he is part of an Islamic conspiracy to destabilize America from the inside using ordinary American citizens.
