Taking the opportunity to put all of his life's lessons into a lecture, Randy puts together a presentation. This presentation will mean much to him and his family as this will be his 'last' lecture. He has incurable cancer and will not survive it. One big event was when he almost backed out of doing the lecture. His wife Jai wanted him to use his energy to spend time with the family instead of getting on a stage. Another event was when Randy was sharing about how he painted his room when he was a teenager and his parents allowed him to do so. He believed that he'd hit the parent lottery because his parents were always there for him, allowing him to explore and live his dreams. He also shares how he admired Captain Kirk, the role played by William Shatner. Shatner visited Randy's virtual reality lab and learned about Randy's cancer diagnosis. He sent him an autographed photo with the phrase: I don't believe in the no-win scenario.
