What is the Sword of Justice?

The sword of justice was taken onto the combat field before the duel to symbolize King Charles' authority over the battle and the participants. Though Jager did not delver farther into the meaning, it seemed to also be a symbol of the belief that the winner of the duel was the honorable person who told the truth.
