The Lady of Shalott

Why does the Lady of Shalott decide to look down upon Camelot? Support your response with evidence from the text.

The curse can only be activated only if the Lady pauses from her weaving to look out her window toward Camelot. Later in the poem, she leaves her loom to look out her window at "bold Sir Lancelot" and feels the curse.
