Why does Bingo as Jeeves for advice in the opening chapter of the novel, The Inimitable Jeeves?

Bingo seeks advice from Jeeves on how to convince his uncle to approve his marriage to Mabel, as she is of a lower class. If he is unable to convince his uncle, then his uncle might cut off his allowance, something Bingo does not want to happen.
